This is Wool & Oak - The Worlds Smartest Luxury Travel Bags

I don't really like the phrase 'Digital Nomad' - but I am one of those lucky remote-work type people, spending around half of the year in London and trying to avoid the UK during it's colder, wetter months for the rest of it whilst I run Suave & Debonair.

Increasingly since COVID, this has become the norm for many people - so it's no surprise that the selection of smart luxury travel gear has stepped up a notch in recent years.

Maybe you're like me and have a fairly untethered lifestyle, or are regularly between flights on business trips. Alternatively, you might be in the market for a weekend-away duffle bag for this years weekends away - something that can house your Brunello Cucinelli or Canali without the normal stuffing in and scrunching up.

Wool & Oak is one of those brands that understands the assignment perfectly. Their duffles, backpacks and accessory holders are made from timeless materials but are trail-blazingly innovative.

Today I'm going to showcase some Wool & Oak designs that are bound to inspire you for your next trip.

Note: At Suave & Debonair we do our best to introduce you to brands you'll love, but we aren't in any way associated with Wool & Oak, and don't profit from this article.

The Wool & Oak NOVA Bag

The first product that Wool & Oak brought to market was the suitcase duffle bag, but this has since been upgraded by the NOVA bag. It's available in two sizes; the 48L NOVA large, designed for a week away, and the 33L NOVA small which is perfect for a long weekend.

Wool & Oak NOVA

Each of the NOVA's is a convertible rolling garment bag. This means you can effectively flat-pack the bag and add your suit jackets first before adding the rest of your folded clothes - ensuring they stay impeccably free of wrinkles and creases.

Also notable is the exterior water-resistant pocket, which can be used as a shoe pocket or laundry bag. Either way, this compartment is separated from the rest of your clothes, meaning there is no chance of your cleans mixing with your dirties.

Wool & Oak NOVA

The NOVA bag has a symphony of useful exterior storage, with easy-access pockets that will fit your pens, notepads, laptop or magazines, making packing superbly easy.

It's simple, yet thoughtfully designed - fitting into airplane overheads when full and folding almost flat when empty for easy storage. And ingeniously, it's on wheels with a collapsible handle hidden carefully concealed in a zip pocket - so you can wheel it around when you get tired of hauling it through security.

The NOVA Carry On Backpack

Similarly ingenious is the NOVA Carry On Bag. It's 5-in-1 design lets you disguise a duffle, an every-day backpack and a briefcase in one large-sized carry on bag meaning you'll never have to pay for an extra carry-on bag again.

Wool & Oak Carry On Bag

It's the perfect carry-on luggage - lightweight, waterproof and sturdy. It's effectively a mobile office with room for a 16" laptop and holders for your charging ports and leads, notebooks and pens, glasses case, water bottle and more. The built in exterior pockets give you extremely easy to access the big three (your keys, phone and wallet), and there's a dedicated hidden pocket for your passport and boarding pass.

Wook & Oak Backpack Check In

The backpack can house a small amount of folded clothes for a quick trip, and there's an attachable toiletry kit which zips on to the outside - but is removable when you reach your destination. Finally, you can attach a Wook & Oak sling for weight support, which clips at the bottom of the rucksack and sits around your waist.

Wool & Oak Wings Backpack

The Wings Backpack is smaller but packs no less of a punch than the Wool & Oak Carry On Backpack. It's stylish enough for Paris and sturdy enough for Peru - one of the only backpacks we've seen that bridges the gap, providing super function without settling for an ugly design.

Wool & Oak Wings

Like all of the bags on this list, there are some extremely useful features. Hidden zippers keep all of your valuables safe, so that only you can access them. The magnetic pockets on each side are ideal for storing your sunglasses or wallet. There's another zip pocket on the back, and a full zip side pocket on either side meaning you can access your stuff in seconds.

On the inside, there are four interior pockets so you can easily compartmentalise your laptop, pocket and pens. The top flap expands, so if you need to strap a jacket or yoga mat in for a while you can easily.

And you can guarantee that the Wings is built to last. Despite the sturdy material, it weights only 0.9kg. The premium leather is sturdy enough to last, the lining is water resistant and the climate control mesh back-panel will keep you if you're out exploring all day.

Final Notes: Wool & Oak Luxury Travel Bags

Founded by Gizem and Johnathan Webster in 2016, Wool & Oak are an young up & coming brand but have established themselves quickly as a leader in luxury travel bags.

Turning to Kickstarter to fund their venture, they started designing travel gear that makes going through airports a breeze - almost a pleasure, in fact.

We love this brand not just because they make awesome luxury travel bags - but because they're a small company who are doing big things. They've used Kickstarter to get their business off the ground and we've no doubt that they'll be bringing us more great travel solutions in years to come!
